Heaven's Devils #4

The penultimate issue of Image's Heaven's Devils arrives with a cover by Zach Howard that crackles with tension — a hat-wearing figure presses a pistol directly into the face of a defiant woman, while a glowing, ethereal male figure looms between them in a blaze of orange light. Brian Azzarello called it "a tight adventure, with a wicked premise and strong characters," and this confrontation-drenched image makes it easy to see why. With Jai Nitz writing and Kevin Sharpe on interiors alongside colorist/letterer Thompson Knox, this 2004 series has been delivering stylish, high-stakes noir from the start.
