Heart Throbs #66

The image says it all: a dark-haired young woman watches through a doorway, her thought bubble reading "She said she'd take him away from me if she ever came back… and she has!" — while outside, a blonde in red is swept up in an embrace by the very man she fears to lose, a suitcase-toting figure visible in the background near a parked car. Promising a story titled "I'll Love You Forever!" alongside interior work by Bill Draut and lettering by Ira Schnapp, this issue captures mid-century romance comics at their most emotionally charged.
