From National Periodical Publications' romance line comes Heart Throbs #66, a July 1960 ten-cent heartbreaker with a cover penciled by Mike Sekowsky and inked by Bernard Sachs. The image says it all: a dark-haired young woman watches through a doorway, her thought bubble reading "She said she'd take him away from me if she ever came back… and she has!" — while outside, a blonde in red is swept up in an embrace by the very man she fears to lose, a suitcase-toting figure visible in the background near a parked car.
