Lea Heinrich's Hearsay announces itself with a quietly surreal street scene: a enormous one-eyed grey creature looms over a pink storefront, its speech bubble delivering the title while, below the sidewalk, a pale amorphous figure rests alongside a red fire hydrant. Published by Rotopol in 2016, this is offbeat, atmospheric comics storytelling where the mundane and the strange share the same block without anyone seeming particularly alarmed.
