The finale of Head Lopper Vol. 4 arrives with a cover by Andrew MacLean and Jordie Bellaire that pulls the eye in every direction at once — a vertiginous, Escher-like stone labyrinth crawling with red-robed warriors and a hulking yellow-armored brute wielding a sword, all converging from impossible angles on staircases and tiled floors. The stark black-and-white linework punctuated by bold hits of red and yellow gives the whole composition a propulsive, almost hypnotic energy.
