Hawkeye: Freefall #5

Clint Barton looks battered but defiant on Kim Jacinto's striking cover for this fifth chapter of Hawkeye: Freefall — arrows bristling from his quiver, one gripped tight in his raised fist, his purple-and-black costume roughed up as he crouches over what appears to be a fallen figure below him. The grim set of his jaw and the bullseye motif looming behind him signal that this arc, from writer Matthew Rosenberg and artist Otto Schmidt, is pushing Hawkeye to his limits. If the series has been building toward something, issue five looks every bit the pressure point.
