Hawkeye: Freefall #3

The cover of this 2020 Marvel series says it all — a menacing hooded figure with glowing red eyes looms large, one massive hand reaching forward, while two versions of Hawkeye clash mid-fall against a backdrop of concentric target rings. Kim Jacinto's composition is a kinetic rush, capturing Clint Barton — bow in hand and clearly outmatched — tumbling alongside a purple-costumed combatant armed with swords and arrows. Matthew Rosenberg and Otto Schmidt's Hawkeye: Freefall continues to look like one of the sharper, more stylish Hawkeye runs in recent memory.
