Baron Weirwulf presides with quiet menace on this 1975 Charlton offering, clutching an open tome as a writhing mass of ghouls and undead claws at the air around him beneath a full moon — a bat silhouetted against the pale disc completing the atmosphere perfectly. Don Newton's cover art brings a painterly, atmospheric weight to the scene that feels genuinely unsettling without tipping into camp. If you enjoy anthology horror from the mid-seventies, this issue of Baron Weirwulf's Haunted Library is a fine place to spend a quarter.
