"Room for One More!" is a chilling tale from Haunt of Fear #2 (1985), written by Al Feldstein and illustrated by Jack Kamen, with inks by Kamen and letters by Jim Wroten. When a six-year-old boy claims he’s actually 24 and has spent his life watching his uncle commit murders—something he hopes to do when he grows up—the police take him seriously, only to shoot him dead after he tries to flee. The story takes a surreal turn when they discover the child truly had three eyes and a forked tongue, and the final panel reveals a disturbing wink from the boy, his third eye glinting, as the mother reports her dog died the night before. The cover, penciled and inked by Al Feldstein, perfectly captures the story’s unsettling tone.
