Haunt #9

Haunt looms over a pile of battered, bloodied soldiers on this Greg Capullo-illustrated cover for issue #9, his black-and-white symbiote-like suit trailing visceral red tendrils from both fists as debris scatters beneath him. The image is visceral and kinetic — a striking snapshot of a character who clearly doesn't leave many opponents standing. With Kirkman, McFarlane, Capullo, and Glapion all listed on the cover, this 2010 Image series was drawing serious talent, and this issue's artwork makes a compelling case for why.
