Haunt #12

Haunt looms large and menacing above a squad of heavily armed soldiers charging through a smoky battlefield in Greg Capullo's cover for this 2010 Image series. The white, web-like figure's jagged tendrils and wide, glinting eyes cut a striking contrast against the warm dust clouds below, while the grim-faced tactical team advances with rifles raised, unaware — or unfazed — by the supernatural threat overhead. With Robert Kirkman scripting and a creative team that includes Todd McFarlane and FCO Plascencia's rich coloring, issue #12 makes a strong case for itself on the strength of its cover alone.
