“The Lucky Mascot!”

In "The Lucky Mascot!", Sad Sack’s misadventures take a turn for the worse when he’s assigned to drive an ambulance during war maneuvers—only to accidentally injure both a soldier and himself, leaving the vehicle disabled in the middle of the action. Written, drawn, and inked by Fred Rhoads, this 1965 Harvey Comics classic delivers its signature brand of military farce with a side of chaos. The cover, by George Baker, captures the moment with his usual sharp, expressive style.
