Harvey Hits #89 brings another laugh-out-loud outing for Sad Sack's Muttsy, the talking dog, in this 1965 Harvey Comics gem. George Baker's cover sets the comic tone perfectly: a hapless soldier in green is chained at the ankle to Muttsy — who sports his signature jacket and is nose-down on the ground, sniffing away with gusto — while a stern guard peers out from the heavy vault door of the Guardhouse. It's a wonderfully absurd setup that captures the warm, bumbling camaraderie between soldier and pup that made this series such a delight.
