Harvey Hits #86

Juniors to the fore in this 1964 Harvey Comics installment, with cover art by Jack O'Brien delivering a wonderfully chaotic scene. A portly military officer goes airborne with a resounding "WHOMP!" after a pint-sized recruit's Jr. 2-in-1 Rocket Kit launches its projectile squarely at his backside, while two other uniformed youngsters look on with guilty grins. It's the kind of slapstick military comedy Harvey did so well, and at 12 cents it was an irresistible deal for young readers eager for some laughs at the brass's expense.
