Happy Comics #8 is an anthology containing multiple humorous animal stories. One story features Jose the Bull, who attempts to make money by polishing a bull and taking it to a bullfight, but his scheme goes awry when the other bull proves more formidable. Another story follows a cat named Kitten who takes a country drive with a cow named Katie and boasts about city life, later encountering Old Nick the Hermit who lives in a cave three miles high and claims to own a faster horse than any city slicker. A third story shows a ghost named Bertie who haunts a house, terrifying its inhabitants, until police arrive and subdue the specter, after which Bertie is taken away and later returns peacefully to visit his newfound friends.
