One story features a wise fly who tries to teach a young beagle to be courteous, leading to the beagle's misadventures with rug-cutting and ultimately attacking the fly's "precious" self. Another story depicts a character with a yellow face involved in various comedic situations including a visit to a barber shop and encounters with small creatures. A third story shows a character with revolving tubs attempting to use a bathing contraption that malfunctions, leading to slapstick consequences involving water and mishaps during what appears to be a Saturday night bath scenario.
Johnny Sparrow opens a flying school to teach the reluctant Fraidy Bird how to take to the skies, putting him through a rigorous—and hilarious—training regimen that includes a spinning chair test and plenty of tough love. When Fraidy still refuses to fly even after earning his diploma, Johnny and a friend devise a clever trick to finally get him airborne. By the end, Fraidy discovers he's a natural flyer after all—though he might be regretting it just a bit.
Clicko and Lenso are a pair of newsreel photographers desperate to capture wild animal action for their editor—their jobs depend on it. When their attempts to film genuine jungle drama fall flat, they hatch a scheme to fake the footage using a leopard-hide disguise and a stuffed snake, only to have their improvised "epic" crash spectacularly when a real leopard shows up looking for her wandering husband. It's a wild comedy of mistaken identity and slapstick mayhem that leaves our resourceful cameramen scrambling to salvage their careers.
Hetty's beloved pet turtle has run away to the lake, leaving the usually spirited hep-cat too sad to dance—until her father offers a hundred-dollar reward to anyone who can restore her pep. When a smooth-talking fox arrives with a magic horn that makes Hetty dance uncontrollably, she gets her groove back, but he's got other plans for collecting his payment.
When a character seeks Doc Bernard's advice for feeling under the weather, the good doctor prescribes a day at the beach for fresh air and sunshine—but what follows is a comedic string of mishaps that transforms the beach outing into anything but a relaxing cure. Between battling a stubborn beach umbrella, getting roasted by a "scientific sun-burn" vendor, and running afoul of the rough surf, our hapless visitor ends up right back in Doc Bernard's office looking decidedly worse for wear. It's a seven-page romp with the funny animals of Happy Comics that proves sometimes the cure can be worse than the ailment.
Fleazy and Beezy, a pair of mischievous bugs, get tangled up in a misguided good deed when Fleazy volunteers his pal Beezy to watch a woman's baby while she steps into a store—despite Beezy's complete unsuitability for the job. What follows is a chaotic chain of mishaps that lands both bugs in hot water and threatens to end their friendship, until Fleazy finds an unusual way to make amends.
Art Fox and Sammy Setter face off in a mountain-climbing race where the first to plant a flag at the summit wins—but this wily fox has no intention of playing fair. With sabotage, trickery, and plenty of slapstick chaos on the slopes, Sammy will have to stay sharp if he wants a shot at victory in this hilarious climb to the top.
