One of the tin soldiers that Tommy receives for his birthday is missing a leg and as a consequence he is blown off a windowsill. After some adventures, he arrives back at Tommy's house, but is deemed ruined and tossed in the fireplace. A wind blows a toy ballerina into the fireplace also, and the two melt together.
