Kas's painted artwork gives "La princesse d'Ultis" a gritty, cinematic atmosphere that feels right at home in the post-apocalyptic world this Belgian series does so well. This 1997 Le Lombard entry, written by André-Paul Duchâteau, looks like a tense chapter in the ongoing saga of one of Franco-Belgian comics' most resilient heroes.
