Two colossal, ancient figures loom like living megaliths on either side of a misty cliffside path, while a small band of riders on horseback passes between them — dwarfed and seemingly unaware of the giants flanking their journey. Nicolas Fructus's cover art for this fourth volume of Hammerfall strikes a perfect balance between awe and unease, the muted, fog-softened palette giving the scene a mythic, timeless weight. Sylvain Runberg and Boris Talijančić's Norse-flavored saga continues here with "Zij die weten" ("Those Who Know"), promising that whatever secrets lie ahead for these travelers, the world watching over them is far older and larger than they may realize.
