Hallows' Eve #4

Issue four of Erica Schultz and Michael Dowling's Hallows' Eve series delivers a suitably unsettling cover, as the title character — her face masked and eyes burning with an eerie orange glow — is surrounded and clutched by a crowd of grotesque figures: a fanged vampire, a stitched-up horror, a glowing-eyed skull, and more lurking in the shadows behind them. Dowling's artwork packs the composition with dread, and Brian Reber's warm amber and deep purple palette gives the whole image a distinctly Halloween-night atmosphere. If you've been following this Marvel horror series, issue four looks ready to turn up the pressure considerably.
