Halloween Blues #2
This 2004 Polish edition of Halloween Blues carries a cover by Zbigniew Kasprzak that's hard to look away from — a pale, red-dressed woman stands dramatically atop a classic convertible while a brooding young man slumps in the driver's seat, the car half-swallowed by dark, tangled foliage. The subtitle "Piszę do ciebie z Gettysburga" ("I'm Writing to You from Gettysburg") adds a haunting, noir atmosphere that perfectly suits the moody nocturnal palette Kasprzak brings to the scene. Written by Mythic with art and inks by Kasprzak and colors by Graza, this second chapter looks like a stylish blend of American gothic and European bande dessinée sensibility.
