Shingo Honda's Hakaiju reaches its seventh volume with a cover that pulls no punches: a massive, grotesque creature dominates the entire image, its enormous maw crammed with jagged teeth, its warty, tumor-riddled body sprawling across the frame in sickening detail. The purple-hued monstrosity — horned, tentacled, and bristling with parasitic growths — is rendered with the kind of visceral intensity that makes Honda's kaiju horror stand apart from the crowd.
