The cover of this 2014 Image miniseries says it all: three determined monster hunters — a dark-haired woman gripping a bat labeled "kiss it," a red-hooded young man with a blade, and a grizzled older figure leveling a large revolver — stand their ground beneath the looming, skull-like crimson face of a supernatural threat.
