Haas #5

The fifth installment of this Dutch series finds the blond, wide-eyed Haas crouched low in dense forest undergrowth, looking tense and wary — while a looming shadowy figure lurks ominously in the background against a dusky sky. Rob van Bavel and Fred de Heij deliver a cover that sets an immediately gripping tone for "Dodenlijst" (Death List), with de Heij's painted linework giving the scene a moody, cinematic atmosphere. A solid entry in the series from Don Lawrence Collection's 2014 lineup.
