The second chapter of Rob van Bavel and Fred de Heij's Haas series arrives with a cover that puts you right in the dust and danger — a green Opel Blitz truck barrels forward while an armed figure in tan clothing leaps or hangs from the passenger side, gun in hand, as two alarmed occupants look on from the cab. De Heij's painted artwork bathes the whole scene in warm ochre and amber tones, giving the tension an almost cinematic heat. "Blind vertrouwen" — Blind Trust — is a title that fits the frantic energy on display perfectly, and this 2011 release from Don Lawrence Collection makes a compelling case for the series.
