This anthology issue contains three humorous animal stories. "Pet Shop" features a dog cop promising his family a nice home while holding a puppy and club as a watchdog bargain. "The Mice-Keteers" depicts mice discussing their escape from city apartment life and raising wildcats instead, only to be pursued through the rain by their cousin Frederick. "Sammy" follows a squirrel tired of eating nuts who discovers a newspaper listing food items, then misleads a bird about a bag's contents before attempting to trade information to a passing cat for alternative foods.
