Caught red-pawed, Grabbit talks his way out of the stew pot by convincing Hosmer that eating him would ruin his reputation with every rabbit in the territory, then uses that same charm to send the gullible hound off on a wild-goose chase. It's a battle of wits between a scheming rabbit and a dogged pursuer, with plenty of slapstick and reversal.
