This Gwandanaland Comics collection reprints Nuts! #1, the self-proclaimed "crazy mad comic" that wears its anarchic spirit right on its sleeve — or rather, its cover. The chaotic scene depicted shows a cop scolding a driver parked near a fire hydrant while a masked bandit bolts from "The Left Bank" with money bags, pistol blazing, as bewildered bystanders scatter in every direction. It's a wonderfully absurd snapshot of Golden Age humor comics at their most gleefully unhinged, and this 2019 reprint makes the fun easy to revisit.
