Gwandanaland Comics #123

Gwandanaland Comics #123 brings together early Charlton adventures of Gorgo, the towering sea monster made famous by the King Brothers/MGM film — and Dick Giordano's cover art captures the big guy in full destructive glory, a massive green reptilian beast looming over a cityscape with Big Ben visible in the background as flames erupt and tiny soldiers scramble helplessly below. Giordano's linework gives Gorgo a genuinely menacing presence, all sharp claws and gaping jaws against a fiery orange sky. A great 2017 package for fans of giant-monster comics and classic Charlton craftsmanship.
