Gwandanaland Comics #108

This 2017 Gwandanaland Comics collection brings together early adventures of the Durango Kid, the masked Western hero made famous by movie star Charles Starrett. The cover — penciled by Joe Certa and inked by John Belfi — puts the white-masked, black-hatted Kid front and center, revolver raised as a stagecoach thunders through a dusty chase scene behind him, with a portrait of Starrett himself inset in the corner. It's a great showcase of the clean, energetic Western art that made these stories a staple of mid-century comics fans.
