Volume 13 of this beloved Dutch-language Guust collection from Dupuis brings the irrepressible, disaster-prone Gaston Lagaffe to a sunny outdoor scene — flat on his stomach in a grassy field, apparently stuck with a jammed zipper, as a spotted cow looks on nearby and a small tent sits pitched beneath a sprawling tree. The title, Een flater kruipt waar hij niet gaan kan ("A blunder finds its way where it can't go"), perfectly captures the cheerful, low-key chaos that defines this series. A warm 2018 package for fans of Franco-Belgian comics at their most charmingly absurd.
