Gutsman Comics #6

Erik Kriek's beloved Dutch anthology series returns with its sixth issue, and the cover sets a cheerful, retro tone — a masked figure in black (Gutsman himself) strolls down a woodland path carrying a bindle over his shoulder, looking every bit the classic traveling hero. Circular portrait medallions along the left side introduce the issue's featured cast: Tigra, E. Kriek, Leona, and Li'l Andy, rendered in Kriek's clean, warmly expressive line work. It's a charming, confident package that showcases exactly why this series earned its devoted following in 2001.
