“A Trap for Kid Colt!”

The cover of this March 1961 Marvel western says it all — a lone gunfighter in a distinctive black-and-white cowhide vest stands his ground in the dusty street while a gang of outlaws closes in from every angle, guns drawn, one of them growling "Let 'im have it, boys — we got the kid right where we want 'im!" Jack Kirby's pencils and Dick Ayers' inks give the scene a taut, cinematic energy, with figures pressing in from the foreground and a bystander scrambling for cover in the background. Featuring the lead story "A Trap for Kid Colt!" with writing by Stan Lee and art by Jack Keller, this is a fine slice of Marvel's frontier storytelling at a dime a copy.
