This January 1960 Atlas/Marvel western packs two frontier heroes onto one cover, with Kid Colt facing down a sheriff and his gang in a tense standoff while, below, Wyatt Earp is surrounded by outlaws threatening to throw him over a cliff. The cover — penciled by Jack Kirby and inked by Steve Ditko — crackles with that unmistakable energy the two brought to action scenes, rendering every scowl and clenched fist with real punch. Inside, Stan Lee scripts Kid Colt's "The Outlaw Strikes Back!" alongside a Wyatt Earp tale promising "Montana Mike, the Man Who Captured the Marshal!" — a solid double dose of frontier adventure for a dime.
