The issue contains at least two stories: "Harry Roff, Daredevil of the Pony Express" follows a mail carrier transporting gold shipments who encounters outlaws and hostile Indians in Shawnee territory, eventually signaling fellow riders with flares to intercept the thieves carrying stolen gold. A second story, set in the town of Santa Gulch, involves a supernatural threat when a demon-like creature is sealed in a cave by Indians, who mark the location as "Ghost Mountain" to warn future generations away from the cursed site.
