“Forget the Past”

Charlton's western duo faces serious trouble in this January 1965 issue, as the cover — penciled and inked by Dick Giordano — drops us straight into a tense saloon standoff. A masked hero in white squares off against two armed outlaws, guns drawn and sparks flying, while a shadowy masked figure watches from the left and one villain snarls "Nobody's gonna spoil my plans — gun 'em boys!" The cover promises that these two champions of law and order will nearly meet their match trying to free a "Captive Town," making this a satisfying slice of Charlton frontier action.
