# Gulf Funny Weekly #243 (December 17, 1937) This anthology issue features "Wings Winfair and His 'Round the World Flight" by Lyndell, in which Wings and his companion are forced to parachute into a dangerous gorge while fleeing from a pursuing plane, landing on a borrowed parachute that threatens to drag them into a deadly waterfall. "The Uncovered Wagon" by Stan Schendel follows Olaf and his partner's comedic misadventures with a troop of monkeys they've agreed to sell. The issue also includes "Curly and the Kids" by Vic Tor, where Minnie attempts to secure her inheritance by finding a way to make money, and "This Wonderful World," "The Weekly Short Story," and the puzzle game "Spellbee," along with bridge and recipe columns.
