This fourth chapter of Brahm Revel's nine-part series delivers a striking cover drenched in deep reds — a uniformed, snarling chimpanzee leaps from the rafters of a bamboo structure directly toward two terrified soldiers below. The stark two-tone palette and raw linework by Revel give the scene an unsettling, almost feverish intensity that fits the Vietnam-era military premise perfectly. With four issues in, Guerillas is shaping up to be one of 2009's more distinctive war comics.
