Issue two of Brahm Revel's Guerillas plunges deeper into its Vietnam-era premise with a cover that speaks volumes: a squad of armed chimpanzees in military gear crouches through dense jungle foliage, rifles at the ready, while one smokes a cigarette and another wears a medic's helmet. The central chimp's cold, steady gaze gives the group a quiet menace that's equal parts unsettling and fascinating. Revel's linework captures both the humidity of the jungle and the grim camaraderie of soldiers — even if those soldiers happen to be primates.
