Guardians of the Galaxy: Mother Entropy #2

Jul 2017 · Marvel · 3.99 USD
“POVs”

In "POVs," the Guardians of the Galaxy face an existential test as the enigmatic Mother Entropy forces them into surreal, mind-bending visions—Gamora haunted by memories of her past, Groot terrorized by monstrous beetles—while she searches for a vessel to reshape reality. When no single choice emerges, she swaps their minds into each other’s bodies, scrambling identities and pushing the team to their limits. Written by Jim Starlin and illustrated with dynamic precision by Alan Davis, with inks by Mark Farmer, colors by Matt Yackey, and letters by Cory Petit and Virtual Calligraphy, the cover by Alan Davis and Mark Farmer captures the chaos in bold, striking detail.

Mother Entropy confronts the Guardians and Pip, informing them she will choose one of them to be her vessel so that she can transform all of reality. To determine which one to choose, she has them go through hallucinations such as Gamora reliving her childhood as Thanos' ward and Groot being menaced by carnivorous beetles. Unable to narrow down her choices, Mother Entropy transfers the minds of the Guardians and Pip's into each other's bodies.
