Grindhouse: Drive In, Bleed Out #4

Dark Horse's exploitation-horror anthology delivers part two of "Blood Lagoon" — and this cover captures the pulpy, sun-scorched dread perfectly. A blood-soaked figure clutching a revolver rises from what appears to be a crimson lagoon, while three other characters — an older man, a mustachioed man with a gold chain, and a young woman — loom large in the fiery background. Chris Peterson's artwork and Nolan Woodard's lurid color work give the whole thing the feel of a vintage drive-in double-feature poster, exactly the vibe Grindhouse: Drive In, Bleed Out has been delivering since 2013.
