Grindhouse: Drive In, Bleed Out #2

Part Two of "Slay Ride" arrives in this 2014 Dark Horse anthology series, and R. M. Guéra's cover sets a wonderfully unnerving holiday tone — a gaunt, white-haired figure in a sweeping purple cloak looms over a young woman in a bright red coat, while a blood-dripping gloved hand reaches in from above and grinning skulls scatter across the foreground. Alex de Campi and Guéra are clearly leaning hard into the grindhouse spirit, delivering the kind of gleefully sinister Christmas imagery that earns the tagline "A Crime Against Comics!" with a wink.
