Billed as the "End Run," this New 52 chapter of Grifter arrives with a cover by Scott Clark and Dave Beaty that packs in a lot of tension: Cole Cash, masked in red and armed with a rifle, stands at the fore while a cloaked, gun-toting figure and a menacing alien loom large in the background, with a woman's face and a ghostly male visage rounding out the composition. The story inside is titled "The Last Grift," with Frank Tieri writing and Marat Mychaels on art — a solid creative team that kept this WildStorm transplant feeling right at home in the DC Universe. If you've been following Cole's rough road through 2013, this issue's ominous tagline makes it clear things are coming to a head.
