A red-haired young woman in a sweeping green dress and a wide-brimmed witch's hat strides confidently through a mid-century New York streetscape — autumn leaves drifting past Art Deco towers while the city bustle carries on around her, indifferent or perhaps not quite sure what to make of her. Franck Biancarelli's cover work has a warm, cinematic elegance that sets a wonderfully intriguing tone: magic and Manhattan, side by side on the crosswalk. Lewis Trondheim and Karolina Heidinger's collaboration with Biancarelli, published by Schreiber & Leser in 2026, looks like a story with real atmosphere to spare.
