Green Hornet #33
# Synopsis This issue contains two stories. In the first, the Maestro's office is infiltrated by foreign agents who attempt to steal and sabotage a valuable concert, leading to confrontation and the revelation of a twin substitution plot. In "The Mighty Midgets" by Art Heffant, a group of diminutive soldiers on a Pacific island must defend their valuable position from enemy troops; they devise a clever scarecrow disguise and use explosives to defeat the Japanese forces and emerge victorious, washing their uniforms in a jungle stream afterward. A separate narrative depicts a criminal mastermind with supernatural green coloring who pilots an aircraft and schemes with a bearded accomplice, discussing plans involving a wing bracket weakness before the scheme appears to unravel.
