Green Arrow dominates the foreground of Cliff Chiang's cover, his masked face steely and resolute while a storm of red-tipped arrows flies in from every direction — the tagline "Assassins' Target!" making the threat unmistakably clear. Behind him, ghostly green impressions of two alarmed figures (Black Canary among them) suggest the danger extends well beyond Oliver Queen himself. Part three of "A League of Their Own," written by Judd Winick with interior art by Mike Norton and Wayne Faucher, this October 2008 issue promises the kind of tightly wound tension that makes this co-headlining series such a satisfying read.
