Part of DC's New 52 relaunch, this December 2011 issue drops Oliver Queen into a tense, urban corner — crouched against a graffiti-tagged wall with an arrow in hand and the words "THE HUNTED" looming behind him, the cover by Dave Wilkins captures a hero very much on the defensive. The story "Going Viral" promises high-stakes trouble for a younger, leaner Green Arrow, brought to life inside by writer J. T. Krul with art from Dan Jurgens and George Pérez. If you picked this up in 2011, it was a strong signal that this reimagined Oliver Queen wasn't going to have things easy.
