Gravel Band 4 — subtitled "Verdammte Lügner" — collects more of Warren Ellis and Mike Wolfer's darkly compelling occult-soldier series, brought to vivid life here by Raulo Cáceres's striking artwork. Mike Wolfer's cover says it all: a silver-haired, leather-jacketed figure stands defiantly at the center of a ritual pentagram, cigarette in hand and guns drawn, while a grotesque ring of monstrous supernatural creatures closes in around him from every side. It's a striking image that captures the series' signature tension between brutal confidence and overwhelming, otherworldly menace.
