About this Collection

This volume of Graphic Classics adapts classic fantasy tales into comic form, including a rendition of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein featuring Victor Frankenstein and his creature. It collects a range of stories from the fantasy genre, presented by various artists and writers in the series' signature illustrated format.

"After the Fire" presents a haunting, visually rich adaptation of Mary Shelley’s classic tale, reimagined by writers Mary Shelley and Rod Lott and brought to life by artist Skot Olsen, whose bold, expressive artwork captures the story’s emotional and Gothic weight. This graphic novel adaptation, featuring a cover by Skot Olsen, distills the tragedy of creation and rejection into a powerful, standalone narrative that lingers long after the final page.
