Rick Roberts, an ambitious young driver, races to prove himself at the Dunlop Banden circuit in "Too Fast, Too Soon." After losing a practice race to experienced driver Masten Carter, Roberts is encouraged to enter drag racing as an alternative path to success, but he doubts he can compete at that level. During an actual Grand Prix race, Rick makes an aggressive move to pass leader Bongiovi at Soissons Turn, taking the lead on the second lap while Carter follows behind, and the competition intensifies as fuel loads decrease and traction improves on the track.
