Written by Bob Toomey and illustrated by Alex Saviuk, with inks by Augie Scotto and colors by Anthony Tollin, this 1981 issue features a striking cover by Brian Bolland.
In "Der Prozeß des Arkkis Chummuck," a Green Light tribunal confronts Arkkis Chummuck over a murder charge, forcing him to recount the fateful day he obtained the power ring. Once a humble archivist, he tells of a brutal defeat suffered by his warrior comrades and how, clad in a yellow armored suit, he faced and overcame a Green Light warrior in combat. As she lay dying, she passed the ring to him, deeming him worthy—though the tribunal now questions whether that moment was justice or the beginning of a darker path.
In "null," Arkkis Chummuck recounts his journey back to his homeworld after claiming the Ring of the Green Lights, where he faced the planet’s tyrannical ruler and seized control—though the full weight of his new power remains uncharted.
In "null," Arkkis Chummuck recounts the intense battle that saved a neighboring planet—fought not just against invaders, but against his own comrades. Though the court rules in his favor, it assigns him a permanent advisor, a decision that leaves his future uncertain.
